Good Morning from chilly & rainy NC but no snow like KC.

Hope everyone who got snow has managed to stay warm.  How much did everyone get?….nothing here.

Tuesday – Brian and family left for Nashville…haven’t heard how the trip went but I’m sure they had a great time.

Wednesday – Mark, Rachel and the boys returned from Louisville after having Christmas with Rachel’s mom,  sister and her family.   Dean woke up with a what we thought was a cold.  It progressed and he has a nasty cough.  Friday, he went to a doctor, and they said his lungs were clear, but he is not better, and his cough has gotten much worse,  so he is going to his group of doctors this morning.

I worked on getting Christmas put away since I was able to work on it at Brian’s while they were gone, and I wasn’t around all the germs at our house.

Friday night Minnesota beat Virginia Tech at the Mayo Bowl here in Charlotte….not sure that win is worth getting doused in Mayo !!

Brain and crew returned home Saturday night.

Sunday, we stayed in, streamed church, and then watched Denver beat the Chief’s JV team.

Have a blessed week,

Love,

 Gatha

Good afternoon from a frozen Kansas!

We had an ice event then snow on top of that! We got 9 inches here. Temps in single digits. They are calling it to get colder in the next few days.
I went to Tim’s house Saturday. We spent the day taking down Christmas decorations and packing them away.
We watched the Chiefs game Sunday. I made homemade Chicken and noodles for dinner with cheddar cheese biscuit’s.
I will be going home today then build some shelves and organize my Christmas decorations. I did take down the outdoor decorations before the weather turned bad.
Tim came over and put ice melt my driveway.
So I should be good to get home.
I have nothing else to do this week.
Hope you all have a Blessed week!
Love, prayers and Big Hugs!

Michaela

About a foot of snow here and ice beforehand. Snow day today and likely tomorrow. Tomorrow hopefully we can play more and sled. I had to order both kids new sizes in snow gear- the plan of Scott getting into Kay’s didn’t pan out. Some stuff came in, the rest was 7 stops away from the house on Saturday and they gave up with the ice. So still waiting on that stuff to get here.

Adam and the kids brought in the outside decorations before the freezing rain came. I left the garland on the deck for some green through these next dreary couple months.

Pic of the kids outside with a neighbor friend.

Oh well 74 (that’s Dean I’m 75) here rain coming in. New years was in Gatlinburg with Ricky McKinsey and Noah and their significant others. I had to make a mad dash back home to do Christmas with Natalie Alex Peter Brandon Liza and Oliver. I crammed it all in in a week. Gatlinburg was a zoo I don’t need to back there. It was a trip I’ll never forget. Chill for a while and think about going to Atlanta in May
Happy Easter

No snow here!  We did get down to the high 30’s early Sunday morning but back up to 70.  I got to enjoy the Chiefs JV team with Dennis, Thomas, Diego, Xander, Yasmin, Little Thomas and Zeke!  Could not believe how bad our QB’s played.

Praying for a joy filled, healthy and prosperous 2025 for us all. God’s will be done.

Love,
PJ
