Good Morning from sunny, chilly NC.
We enjoyed nice mild temperatures, with some chilly mornings last week…perfect fall weather.
Pretty quiet week, with usual activities, no encounters with yellow jackets or fire ants (they are annoyingly everywhere).
Mackenzie’s band participated in a competition on Saturday, and they won grand champions for their division and percussion took 1st place. I know that they put in long days of practice, and it is nice to see that pay off. Those competition days are so long!! She left the house at 9:00 and returned home around midnight! My sincere respect to everyone who has ever done marching band!!! It is a serious commitment.
My goal today is to early vote….hoping our little country fire department location isn’t a super long wait.
Have a blessed week,
Love,
Gatha
Good Monday Morning to everyone!
I had another productive weekend in Tim and Lisa’s garage. We started on Friday afternoon and stopped Saturday evening. We cleaned out totes that were sitting in the garage for 7 years and had not been gone through. We went through totes that were on shelves. Got rid of a lot of stuff. We had probably 20 big bags of stuff piled high in the back of Bill’s truck. Tim went to dump it in a dumpster at a place he got permission to dump it.
Saturday I got 1 whole wall cleared away! Cleaned and ready to put his truck in the garage. We built shelves over the tractor cubby hole to hold all the coolers. Got everything off the floor ready for Lisa’s car to fit in. I will have to put tape on the garage floor so she can use her back up camera to see where to drive. It will be tight but if she backs in and Tim pulls in straight both doors will open in the middle and they will have room to get out and walk between the cars and get into the house. I have one more shelf to hang from the ceiling to put camping stuff in when they bring it home.
We dined on Steak potatoes and salad Saturday night! It was wonderful!
Sunday I slept in! My feet were on strike! lol.
I went over to Tim’s to watch the big game! Great Game I might add!
This week I have a lot to do around my own house! Need to start the baby blanket for Allysa, and projects for Christmas gifts!
Blessings to the Brady Schleicher family on birth of baby boy Cruz. Prayers for Rachel’s family.
Blessings, Prayers, Love and Big Hugs!

I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right hand. I shall not be moved.
Psalm 16:8
We get one day in the 70’s and then the next humid and 80’s. It can’t decide. Still dealing with flooding along the lakes. I’m not sure they know what they’re doing. Most are complaining there’s just too much building and not enough drainage.
Sure did enjoy the college football games and Chiefs win. I did enjoy Tom Brady’s play by play.
Trying to get over bronchitis but it wants to stick around. Found another antibiotic allergy-levoquin. Had to go back in to see a different doctor to get it changed to penicillin. Played in a pickleball league match Saturday. Didn’t do very well. Up near Daytona beach. Very windy but beautiful courts. It’s always fun to play pickleball whether you win or lose.
Hoping to vote today! Went last Friday and apparently early voting didn’t start until today! Eager beavers!
Prayers for Mark and Rachel and boys. Grateful for Cruz! Baby blessings are the best. Everyone enjoy God’s beautiful Fall colors. God bless our family and our country.
Love,
PJ
