The weather messed with soccer and 2 band competitions on Saturday. Hailey’s soccer got called due to lightening and Kenzie’s second band competition got delayed due to lightening, but they finally got to compete, winning several more awards and another Grand Champion. They didn’t get home till around 1:00. These were the last ones for this fall. I’m sure Kenzie will enjoy having some spare time now.
Sunday, Dean, and I drove over to Phil and Kelly’s to attend Ethan’s Eagle Scout Ceremony. It was a very nice ceremony and thankful we could be there. We spent a little time with Patrick and Deanna before the ceremony.. We went to Pinehurst 2. They have a very nice display of trophies and photos of the history. We spent a little time at Phil’s house after the ceremony and before heading home. We made it home before dark and we got to see the last 8 minutes of the Chiefs game. YAY 7-0

Have a blessed week,
Good morning from Kansas. The weather does not know its fall or early summer! Great warm temps during the day then chilly after the sun goes down. We did finally get some rain Thursday night. It had not rained here for a month!
I had a busy weekend!
Saturday I put a pork roast in the crock pot with sauerkraut, made mashed potatoes. Cinnamon applesauce and a sauerkraut salad with rolls for dinner. Tim, Lisa and Ellaina were coming over for dinner. I then went downstairs to sew Allysa’s baby blanket. I got that done. Then Tim’s family arrived, we ate then got into the hot tub and watched some of the word series. Put a little tv on the screened in porch.
After they left I watched the KS vs KU football game. Enough said.
Sunday I was invited to go to brunch with Stephanie’s family. We met at Cracker Barrel, Jeremy’s dad was treating us all for brunch. It was nice.
After brunch I was invited to go to Uncle Jerry Jones home for an open house to see uncle Tim. It was so good seeing Jerry and Cathy. Jerry looked very good! Lucy, Kevin and his wife Samantha was there. I had never been to Jerry’s house, it was beautiful filled with very interesting art peices and quite a few animals that Jerry has hunted over the years. They were done very nice. My favorite was the zebra It was nice to visit with the few people that were there and Uncle Tim, who is doing well.
After half time I went to Tim and Lisa’s at least I was heading towards home. I changed into my lucky chiefs shirt and watch the rest of the game with them and their company. Great win over the Raiders!
Today I hope to vote and get flu shot!
We are supposed to go to the lake on Friday, for the weekend to winterize the boat and camper. Supossed to rain all weekend, so we will see. This week’s plans include taking a bed out of one bedroom and store it. Build a day bed in that room to make the room have a little more space. Once built in that room, it will have to be taken apart to get it out.
Hope everyone has a Blessed week.
Love, Prayers and Big Hugs!
