Good Morning from NC,
I think I have finally finished decorating for Christmas, but of course you never know, I may think of something else. But all the major decorating is done. We had a week of lovely weather and took advantage of that to finish outdoor decorating. The flagpole has been transformed into a tree of lights and ready for the season. Sunday’s high was 75 and today’s high is expected to be 48…so got all that done just in time. Now I am ready to tackle the Christmas puzzles!
I see cold temps expected tonight for Richard, Pam & Dennis -dropping below 45 degrees –watch out for the falling Iguanas Tuesday morning!!!
Have a blessed week.
Love,
Gatha
Update-
Please keep Courtney in your prayers. Yesterday, she had to go to the ER for an infection around her PEG tube site, which required stitches and starting antibiotics. She’s also experiencing bleeding from her trach, and has an ENT appointment today to find out what’s causing it.
She’s scheduled to return to work from home this Thursday, doing computer-based tasks only, since she still isn’t able to speak. Her recent scan showed no progress in her vocal cords waking up—but we’re holding onto hope, and trusting in healing, even if it’s slow.
Raegan is still sore internally from her surgery but her incision sites all look great. They were able to go take some family photos outside Saturday before Missouri turned into Antarctica.

Praying for healing and solutions and answers for Courtney. Rae’s pictures were adorable.

Happy Monday to everyone! It’s a bit chilly here in Kansas! 30 degrees. However the sun is shining!
Loved the pictures Lindsay and Lisa!
Last week was Jillian’s first week in day care. Thursday evening he was sick. Not totally unexpected. He is much better by today. So back to day care. I am still on standby.
Last week I had to replace the battery in Bill’s truck. I worked on trimming back landscaping, cutting back hydrangeas and roses. Slow and steady I got them all done. Now the lawn tractor has a problem. It looks like a pulley has seized up, shredding a belt. The clue was the horrific noise, so I am looking for a small engine repair shop.
I went to Tim and Lisa’s for dinner yesterday. Ellaina bought steaks and lobster tails. Tim grilled them outside. We played five crowns. It was a nice day. Dinner was wonderful!
Prayers for Gods Gracious healing hands on Courtney, Kelly, Regan, Charlie, and all others in need of lifting up. In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God. Philippians 4:6
Love, Prayers and Big hugs!
Michaela
Thank you Lindsey for the update on Courtney….praying all these issues can be resolved soon.

Happy Snowy Monday, temperatures have dropped 14 wind chill, windy and snow is flying, it was just summer on Saturday. Seeing the snow does make you smile, if it doesn’t get you into the holiday spirit then you’re just a scrooge!
Charlie has had his second weekend of Santa. The kids are all so cute and keeps him on his toes. One little guy asked for a pitcher’s mound, and another asked for a sibling. Mabel got to visit Santa for photos on Saturday, she slept right through the hole photo session. Robert has officially been introduced to the Santa photo experience! He had not quite understood all the excitement until he saw all the waiting rooms for the families and the family all in their matching pajamas, from grandma and grandpa to the newest addition, all in pink satin PJs! Thanks for the prayers I know the kids sure enjoy seeing him. A little girl brought him her pick with him for the past 13 years all taped together.
Charlie had his cardiologist appointment last week. His heart is pumping too slow, 45 beats currently. He is going to wear a heart monitor this week and see what the next steps are. He sees his kidney doctor this week. He is tentatively scheduled to have the stent and kidney stones removed December 19th, with the urologist.
I haven’t decorated……can you believe it? I have signed up for my Turkey Day run…..anyone else? I may put up a tree on Thanksgiving day, just like the old days.
Here is sweet Mabel 4 weeks old visiting us last night.

Thank you for your service Veterans! My community chorus is singing a Veterans Day concert today at a new memory care facility. Looking forward to see how many will brave the cold . In the 30’s in FL. With the wind chill feels like the 20’s. Didn’t cover my plants and monitored the temp all night wondering if I should have. They made it ok. I think the small back yard area might protect everything from the cold. We’ll see tonight. Im a few days we head back up to the 70’s.
Our Stetson University choir is singing Dan Forrest’s Jubilate Deo. 7 movements all in different languages. Latin, Hebrew, Spanish, Zooloo, Manderin, even some English. The composer will be here next week for rehearsal and then for the performance the 25th. Probably about 200 voices. It’s always inspirational to be a part of this choir.
My Community Choir has 14 nursing home Christmas Concerts starting next Saturday thru December 17.
Dennis has Wednesdays off so we’ll be golfing on Wednesdays now until after the Super Bowl. We’re playing in one of the Guardian, a non-profit veterans support group, tournament tomorrow. It will be below my required temp of 50 but the course is one we’ve been wanting to play. Red Tail out west.
He’s been released on his knee. He hasn’t been able to jog yet and looks forward to that day. My headaches have been fewer this month. Seems to be in correlation with the barometric pressure. Dennis wants me to do the MRI. That will be Wednesday after golf. I’d rather not but it has to be a day he can drive me since I’ll be taking Valium. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Never been claustrophobic before but the last attempt didn’t go well.
Stay warm. Enjoy your fireplaces. Praying for peace and comfort for all our healing family.
Love,
PJ
