pink candles on gold candle holder

Third Week of Advent:  The candle represents Joy – the third candle is often called the Gaudete Sunday, a time to rejoice as Christmas approaches.

Happy National Cupcake Day

Prayer:   Kelly – chemo treatments / Courtney vocal cord healing and chemo / /Charlie upcoming Dec. 19 kidney stent procedure / Pam- / Marla / Tim & Maureen Jones / for all the families affected by all the violence this weekend.

Good morning from cold NC this morning, 15 degrees & feels like 9.  I know many of you have been dealing with these temps as well, but we are whimps now 😊 when it comes to cold weather.  It does look like we will warm up as the week goes on.

Monday, I went to see Wicked with some friends.  Thursday ,we went to Kenzie’s Christmas concert at school which was wonderful.  Saturday, I helped with the Children’s Ministry Christmas Event for the children.  We had around 95 kids plus parents.  Lots of fun was had by all.

Sunday, church, lunch and then home to watch the Chiefs and Panthers lose…  Hated to see all the injuries for the Chiefs and Mahome’s injury for sure.

I am working away on my Christmas puzzles, on number 5 right now.

Have a blessed week,

Love,

Gatha

Luke 2:10: “And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.'”

It was Nutcracker weekend for us…meaning lots of running, not a lot of sleep, and a very tired kiddo by the end of it, but as always it was a good end to the ballet semester and a good way to kick of the last couple of weeks to Christmas.

I’m still working from home; this week I’m getting trained again in yet another review market. I do chart reviews now for medication approval (the PA process that everybody dreads at the pharmacy); started with just the GLPs (the diet shots…Ozempic, Wegovy, etc.), then they trained me again to do the fancy new glucose monitor reviews, and now this week I’m getting moved with a few others into the full Medicare Part D market. Right now I’m still just a temporary contractor, but hopefully since I keep getting trained up higher levels I’m on track to get pulled in permanently. I used to say after 14 years in retail pharmacy nothing would surprise me any more…seeing some of the things doctors will put in charts to get something approved…I’m still getting surprised.
