Good morning from NC.
It was an up and down week of weather like many of you experienced.
Mackenzie was sick Sun-Mon-Tues/ Hailey went down with a fewer on 24th so Christmas day was a little subdued. Mark, Rachel, and the boys visited during the afternoon.
Brian, Jess, and the girls left on the 26 for a trip to DC. Hailey felt better by the time they left. They are due back tomorrow.
I have been working on taking down our decorations. I hope to finish up today,
Have a blessed week.
Love
Gatha
Congratulations Courtney and Adrian! It was a house of dogs Christmas here! They all behaved well with Belle the lamb. Current count is 8 momma’s and 12 lambs in the barn. Windy and wet out today. We had a summer day Saturday, I spent it getting walnuts up in the fenced pen out the side door, cutting back trumpet vine, getting it ready for when Belle is thrown out of the house. Nick raked up the willow leaves👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, now getting progressively colder this week. Hopefully Porter and I will start my wolf pup today. He thinks Belle is annoying, lol. You can certainly tell this is nothing new to him! Ping pong still commencing every night. I won’t give the match totals. Happy and healthy New Year. Praying Charlie’s arm swelling is gone! Love you all- Yaya
Good morning! It’s 21 degrees here! However the sun is shining!
Whew, what a Christmas week!
Lots of family, lots of laughs and wonderful time Celebrating Jesus Birthday!
I am so Thankful for this time of the year, where we can all gather and pack as much in a short amount of time. I have one more gathering tonight! I am so blessed!
I will leave decorations up for a bit longer, putting off the inevitable!
Hope you have Blessed, Healthy Happy New Year!
Love, prayers and Bug Hugs!

Happy birthday Emily and Richard! Congratulations Courtney and Aiden! Joyous times. Praying for continued healing Courtney. Marla in the hospital for Christmas and Hailey running a fever! Charlie wearing the road out to the hospital. Glad Kelly was able to be home for Christmas Praying for a healthy 2025 for everyone. We are fortunate to have so many prayer warriors in our family.
Things have slowed down considerably since the last nursing home concert. We had a beautiful Christmas Eve service. I arranged a combination of Mary did you know and Breath of Heaven that worked out great. We had a son-in-law of a member sing O Holy Night. Beautiful bass voice. We sang every verse of every hymn. Even had real candles and avoided burning the church down. Crab leg dinner at Yasmin’s after. Christmas morning with Yas and her boys and eggs Benedict.
Dennis and I went to the movies in the afternoon so we could be home in time for the Chiefs game. I thought Oladokun did a good job once he got over his nerves. Wish Kelce would have fallen forward for the first down in the last drive. Will be a great playoff season for someone in our house.
Beautiful weather here. Golfed yesterday after church. Got one birdie. Heading up to Savannah to meet Maddie & Luis and the girls for NYE. Dennis and I will golf up there, too. Should be chilly!
Have a joyous ringing in of 2026. Can you believe it?
Love and joy come to you, And to you glad tidings too,
And God bless you and send you,
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.

Congratulations Courtney and Adrian! Thanks for all the prayers for Charlie. He still has swelling in his left arm, he is on blood thinners to resolve the clot. Christmas was perfect with the Roy’s, Mabel experienced lots of her firsts. Alex treated us to hockey! Christmas was full of surprises and laughter. Here are pics of our family time, full of love and joy! Wishing all a happy New Year.
