Good Morning from soggy NC.

I hope everyone has a nice Christmas.  Ours was filled with plenty of food, card games with Zoe teaching us a new game “Elfer Raus” that her family plays, and a Chief’s win 😊..

Mark, Rachel, and the boys came home sick from KC, so we were not able to get together on the 24th as planned.  They were able to rally and left on the 26th for Disney and went to the Jacksonville football game yesterday on their way home.   Mackenzie was a little under the weather Christmas day and the next but doing better now as well.

Brian, Jess, and the girls spent Saturday and Sunday at Jessica’s parent’s celebrating Christmas with her brother’s family.

My next project is to start taking the decorations down.  I am still enjoying them so I will probably take my time doing it.  I got 7 new puzzles for Christmas so looking forward to tackling them.

Have a blessed week and a Happy New Year !!

Love,

Gatha

Good Monday Morning! With Christmas being in the middle of the week the days of the week are all mixed up!

We had a great family gathering on Christmas Eve. I think I cooked enough for 50 people! Lots of left overs.
Christmas Day I was at Tim and Lisa’s for breakfast then opened presents before the Chiefs game started. Then Tim cooked a prime rib on the smoker, we fixed sides. I had to run home to let the dog out and feed him before going back to Tim’s for dinner with a few close friends.
The day after Christmas I had nothing that needed to be done so I just rested! For 4 days I rested. Of course I am still dog sitting so there is still walking and such. On Saturday I met our friends John and Pat for dinner. The weather was very bad that night the fog was so thick it was difficult to see on the drive home.
Sunday after church I watched Becky’s Christmas program. If you have not watched it treat yourself. Christmas in the Ville on u tube it was very well done. I enjoyed it so much!

Now that my knees and body feels better I am going  to go buy heavy duty shelves to put into basement storage to put Christmas totes on. Then I will start taking down Christmas decorations and purge some old stuff. Time to organize! Which will be great! I will have the guy across the street help me get them down stairs and have him help build them as I have been watching his dog for 2 weeks. Plus all other times. They are good neighbors. They are not home yet so Trooper the huskie and I have become very good friends!
I plan be on taking it easy for a while. This past year has been very busy! Spring will be here soon enough then the yard word will start in again. The only great thing about Kansas winters, I get a break from yard work! Even though I love doing it and gardens it’s a nice break! I still do not like snow!
Hope you all have a Blessed New Year!
Love, prayers and Big Hugs!
