I am busy getting ready for Christmas…shopping/Christmas Cards/wrapping/sending packages. I have made a decent dent on all these so far.
Thursday Dean and I went to Asheville NC for a Mannheim Concert that evening. It was a lovely day and we stopped in at the Grove Park Inn just to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. It opened in 1913 and was built of stone. Very impressive building. (The Omni Grove Park Inn | Asheville, NC Hotels & Resorts (omnihotels.com)) They host a national gingerbread competition each year. We were able to see a few, but not all of them. The main display room isn’t open to the public until after 4:00 and we left before that. The concert was great. We really enjoyed it. We drove back home on Friday.
Brian, Jess, and Hailey left Saturday morning for Hailey’s out of town soccer tournament. Kenzie stayed home with Patches, and we were around if she needed anything.
