Good morning from cold/rainy NC.
We’ve had a week of mainly cold/rainy or overcast weather this week. Missing our sunshine that we are used to.
Pretty quiet week. Thursday evening, we went to a program at Kenzie’s school for an informal performance by students’ individual groups .. Very entertaining evening. Lots of talented young people. Kenzie(playing piano) was part of the band for her friend Grace who sang a Fleetwood Mac song that I forget the name. But they did a great job.
Saturday Dean and I went to the funeral of a good friend.
Sunday, church , lunch ,a very lovely Christmas Concert in the evening at church and home in time to suffer through the Chief’s game.
Have a blessed week.
Love,
Gatha
Luke 2:10: “And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.'”
Good morning from frozen Kansas! It’s 32 degrees, feels like 23 with wind blowing. No plans to stay outside for any period of time.
Busy season here, as always. Monday I had an eye appointment. I have a rather large spec of dust in my eye, under the lens that was put in place after my cataract surgery. Has to be removed by an eye surgeon. Can’t see him until February. I got it in my eye last Saturday while cleaning Lisa’s house before we set the tree up. It is just a minor inconvenience.
After bible study on Tuesday I drove my friend Wanda to pick out a new tree for her home. She set it up and decorated it. She called me for help.
We pretty much decorated the tree over and I added streams of ribbon. It turned out beautiful, I helped her with her centerpieces, and a few other things.
Friday I had dinner with Ellaina, Tim and Lisa. It was an appreciative dinner of surf and turf! So yummy.
Saturday, Wanda and I went to a Gaither Christmas concert, in a very large church in Raytown! Wow, it was great! The next generation was just as good as the first, however they are getting on in years, but their group of people and Mark Lowery did a wonderful show. It was 3 hours of pure delight! Mark Lowery did sing Mary Did You Know! Great concert.
Sunday my Nephew Chris came over, we visited and went to dinner at Olive Garden. We had a great visit.
Then I watched the Chiefs, roller coaster of a game. So sorry they lost.
This week I have very busy schedule as well.
Hope you all have a Blessed week.
Love, prayers and Big hugs!
Michaela
