Happy Presidents Day.

Apparently, I accidentally deleted/lost the Feb 9 week’s email.   Can’t find it anywhere!  I would like to blame it on some computer glitch, but I’m pretty sure it was user error.

Happy Belated Birthday: Stephanie C. Feb. 9 / Asher Feb. 10/ Riley Feb. 13 (18) – Hope you 3 had wonderful birthdays

Happy Birthday this week:  Brittany Feb. 20 / Adam Feb. 20

Anniversary:  Katherine & Robert Feb. 10 / Dean & Gatha Feb. 11

Prayer:  Kelly / Courtney / Janolyn

Good morning from soggy NC.

I had my first cataract surgery on Tuesday.  We celebrated our anniversary on Wednesday by going to my Post Op appointment 😊.  All went well.  My new lenses are correcting my distant vision, so I will only need readers when all is done.   I am looking forward to the surgery on my other eye this Friday Feb. 20.  I have felt a little lopsided.

Sunday was a rain-soaked day. It rained all day with us getting 4-5 inches; thankful it was in the 40’s and not freezing temps.

For those of us born in the 50’s, raised in the 60’s and made it to 2025:

We have lived in 8 different decades, 2 centuries , 2 different millenniums and we aren’t even 80 yet !!

Have a blessed week,

Gatha

So glad your cataract surgery went well. I will keep you in my prayers for successful surgery for your other eye!

Phil and Kelly met with their surgical oncologist on Friday and Kelly is scheduled for a lumpectomy on February 25. That plan was confirmed today when she had her scans. So very thankful for all your continued prayers.

Love you all,

Deanna

Good afternoon from sunny Basehor! It’s supposed to be 67 today. No rain!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks here. I went to the eye Surgeon week before last so he could blast some black spots out of my left eye.

Saturday we had a fish fry at Tim and Lisa’s with camping friends. Then we played card game of golf.

Monday I had jury duty again. This time in Leavenworth County. Again it was not a pleasant subject. Attempted rape of a 5 year old. I was not selected. Praise the Lord. All but 3 women were let go. The jury was mostly men. It took most of the day to select the jury. Maybe I will not get picked again for a while. I am working as a poll worker, so the training will start soon I am sure.

Wanda ( neighbor across the street) and I went to Bible study, shopping for new tennis shoes then attended a line dancing class that was at the VFW on Tuesday. It was fun, but my knees can not do the grapevine!!

I finally got the last of the shelves put together and everything off the floor in the storage room.

I power washed the garage and driveway to get salt and mud off of them. A lot of good it did, the dump trucks are still driving up the street dropping their load of dirt as they drive by. Still building houses the next street over.

Steph, Allysa, Jillian and I went shopping for some shelves to go in her living room, for storage , she starts her new job soon and needs room for 2 monitors. After we found the shelves we went for lunch, then went to build  shelves, put them up and rearrange her work area. She will be working from home full time.

Tim came over Saturday and hooked up my Ring doorbell and indoor monitor. After that we went bowling where we reserved 2 lanes and 9 of us bowled for 2 hours. I still can not bowl! Lol my nephew Mike came to join us. Jeremy Jr was the king of the day! He bowled over 230 each game. He’s good. Should be on a league.

After bowling we went to Minsky’s  for dinner of pizza.  We had a nice time.

Sunday I babysat the little girl from across the street. From 12-7. We had a great time together. She even took a 2 hour nap, which was nice.

Tonight we are going to Olive Garden.

Tuesday after Bible study Wanda annd I  are going to watch the movie Melania. It’s not showing here, so we will drive to Topeka.

Gatha, I pray your eye surgery is very successful!

Never boring here!

Hope you all have a Blessed Week!

Love, prayers and Big Hugs!

Michaela
