Happy National Cheesesteak Day

Happy Birthday:  Becky March 29

Prayer:  Emily, Natalie, Raegan, Katherine healthy pregnancies

Good Morning from cloudy NC.

We have had a lot of windy weather….can’t keep the wreath on the door, keeps flying away and we’ve had to lower the flagpole numerous times.  Had a few mornings in the low 30’s.  Hopefully, that is in the past.  Its very beautiful here with so many trees blooming.

We spent Saturday working in the yard/woods.  Dean and Brian cleared downed trees from the woods to cut up for firewood.  I did some planting and got my hummingbird feeder ready to go for our mid-April arrival time frame.

Got my newest Southern Living magazine and it had the South’s best in a variety of areas.  Richard and Jami’s scored well, The Top 2 Best Beach Towns: #1 St. Simons Island, GA and #2 Gulf Shores, Al.

Have a blessed week,

Love,

Gatha

Good morning from Kansas, where the winds continue to whip around the flat lands.  It is a cool 43 right now. The winds never stop. Last week’s winds blew my decorative spinners, all three into the neighbors yard. They are toast. I had them zip tied to the Shepard hook, but at last they tore apart and took flight. Also a couple of lawn chairs went for a trip into my neighbors yard. I am very tired of the wind and cold.
I ordered 3 more spinners but will not put them out until next month.
With the wind, I am also getting the dirt for the 2 houses that are being built. One across the street and one house on the other side of my neighbors. There is dirt all over everything. My windows look like someone has just caked mud on them. There is no reason to clean yet with these winds.  I am waiting until they grade both houses yards and get rid of the piles of dirt. The back porch is a mess. Can’t wait until I can hose everything off. Man I am sitting on my hands, becasue of my OCD, but I do not want to do it all again. Meanwhile You will all have to wipe your feet real good when you come in the house.
Tuesday Steph, Jeremy and I went to Allysa’s Boyfriend’s dad’s (Jeff) celebration of life. Very sad. There was no speaker. No real celebration of life, just a video, and we, Heide, her mom and uncle, JJ and Allysa 2 guys from Jeff’s place of work, were there. that was pretty much it. Just talked to grandma, Heide, JJ and Allysa. Very sad.
Stephanie had Julian from the day the dad died until the day of the celebration. 2 weeks and more.
I worked on Tim and Lisa’s income taxes last week. Need to finish today and file them.
I finally got all the smoke alarms batteries changed. There are 10 in this little house!
Friday Lisa and I went to an antique  store in Bonner Springs. It was really a trip back in time!  Of course my Pyrex bowels were there and a lot of things that were in mom and dad’s house were in the store. Very nice store. Then we went to a boutique store that was there. I picked up a few things to decorate Lisa’s house for the summer months. That was fun. We went to Lisa and Tims and made home made pizzas and played 5 crowns. We did not finish the round. So I cannot say I officially lost for the first time this year.
Saturday I met up with our friends John and Pat Carter. We talked about their great grandkids. Their oldest great grandson is 16 and is driving. We always talk about politics. Bill and John could talk for hours on end about this subject. I know John misses those conversations.
Today the landscaper is finishing up putting rock edging, to match what is around the house, around my utility boxes and Ginko Trees in the front yard. One on each side of the house. It will sure make it easier to mow. I need to get the garage hosed out and the oil changed in the tractor and sharpen the blades. Waiting for warmer weather.
This next weekend is the official start of camping. I am going to go camping to help open up the Glamper, get things stocked for the summer. I might have to bring my flannel clothes and Alpaca socks. Lisa assured me it will be in the 70’s. My weather app says rain, Friday and Saturday and in the 60’s. 60 is still cold to me. Wish me luck!

I pray You all have a Blessed Week.
Love, Prayers and Big Hugs!
Michaela

Grandkids, golf, cards & Mexican!  Pretty normal here. Weather has been cooler up to today.  We sold our fireplace tv stand because I couldn’t get in to the logs and vacuum them. The guy that bought it restores old jeeps and cars. He owns a shop
In Daytona called “The Toy Box.”  Fun talkative couple who had total loss on their house from Milton.

We put the TV on the wall and of course, as always, the studs were not where we needed them and the variety of screws they sent weren’t long enough for the back of the TV.   I knew there a reason I always saved all those tv bracket screws!  I had some in my little screw sorter. No trips to Lowe’s needed!  Dennis thinks I’m a hoarder!  You just never know when you might need it!

Have a beautiful week!  Spring has sprung!
Love,
PJ

Lucky to have Porter Friday night, we flew a kite Saturday- swirling winds, so not easy but fun anyway!   It was nick’s Saturday to work, so after dropping off Porter I got to meet him at Sweet Bay- Abingdon’s local brewery, then we tried a new restaurant in town- Dwayne & Co.  it was very good, and an interesting menu.  We worked on smoke house Sunday after church, taking it apart piece by piece.   May be a very long process.   Officially Spring here, the sheep let us know by going to what they think is the greener side of the fence.  Getting my steps in for sure, today 4 decided to go on to Daryl’s side of the fence- not the Cole’s.  As dad used to say “it’s always something!”   With those words of wisdom, l sign off  for another week- love you YaYa!
