Good morning from soggy NC.
Watched a lot of sports this week, basketball, softball, baseball, golf…..
Since we had nice weather this weekend, cleaning outdoor furniture and planting some herbs/flowers were accomplished on Saturday. Saturday night went to Mackenzie’s school’s production of Les Misérables. I’m always amazed at the amount of talent the students have. It was incredible. Mackenzie was not in the production, but there in support of her fellow students. She is busy preparing for the spring band concert.
Hailey had a rough week. She was sick with symptoms that presented like meningitis. Fortunately, tests showed viral infection and not bacterial infection. Medication helped her feel better and she was able to go back to school on Friday. Hopefully, we are all now finished with this virus stuff and moving forward.
Its Official…. this is our worst pollen season since 1999…..our suspicions were confirmed by the weather people. Hopefully, it will be behind us soon.
Have a blessed week,
Gatha

One of my favorite things! Carmel popcorn!!
Good morning from Kansas where the furnace is still running! Can you say windy? Ready for Spring! But oh wait there is another freeze warning for tonight!
Busy weekend. Friday I went to see babyJullian at Stephanie’s. He is growing fast is in 6-9 months clothes now. Smiles and jabbers most of the time.
Saturday Lisa, Ellaina and I went to a craft fair in Shawnee. It was small but had alot of interesting things I did not need. We then went to lunch and to a Kansas Sampler in Mission. Went into some boutique stores on the strip. So many changes to Mission. And yet the place where mission shopping center was is still in the same shape it was 10 years ago. Nothing but a partial building unfinished.
I drove them around our old hood. Saw mom and dad’s place on 50 th street. The Indian Mission, our uncles houses, Dean and Gathas, home in Westwood, grandma Schleicher’s house, the church we got married in. Did not have to drive far to get alot of family history mostly about a 2 mile radius. I drove them past the Ballou’s home, showed them Kauffman’s and Stovers homes. We drove through the plaza, went to Andre’s, up to brookside. Shopped in several small shops there then went to the Legends. Made the rounds!
Sunday after church looked up recipes for Easter dinner. Made grocery lists for this week and for the lake next weekend, and for Easter dinner.
I also watched the repeat of Duke Huston game Saturday night. Glad Huston won. Tonight will be all Florida I think. I watched the Royals win on Sunday.
Richard I hope you are still snakeless today! What a weekend!
Hope you all have a Blessed Week.
Love, prayers and Big Hugs !
