Good morning from soggy NC:
We are in for rain for the next few days. Hailey’s soccer team is in the playoffs so we will see how the rain effects those games.
Had a quiet week. Dean did manage to mow before it rained last week.
Jessica hosted our annual Mother’s Day tea on Saturday, and we had a restful weekend. I did manage to finish the puzzle I was working on. Its so pretty I hate to take it apart.
The wheat planted all around our house is turning golden….looking like Kansas 😊– amber waves of grain
Have a blessed week.
Love,
Gatha
That is a beautiful puzzle, Gatha. We are in for some heavy rain finally. Had to get up in the wee morning hours and empty the rain from our canopy/gazebo and open it up to avoid any more rain dumping trips. Copper has to supervise so he could get wet. If this keeps up might need to get him a raincoat.
Dennis is almost finished with his knee PT and is hoping to schedule his right knee for July. Still getting therapy for his back from the car accident. We did test his new knee on the golf course. He’s getting pretty good at using just his arms. He was ready to go again the next day but he listened when I suggested we wait a couple of days to see how sore it will get.
Have a blessed week. Nothing can separate us from God’s protection.
Love,
PJ
It’s a beautiful day in Kansas! No wind or rain! Temperature in the 80’s. Bad news have to turn the irrigation system on! lol
Busy weekend for us.
Friday afternoon I spent it with Stephanie. Then went home and made 24 hour slaw and taco salad for Saturday’s birthday party for Ellaina’s 25th.
Saturday we went to Bonner Springs farmers market, then grabbed a bite to eat. Picked up the ice cream cake and Balloon’s for party. We went back to Lisa’s and set up for party. Tim smoked 5 slabs of ribs and 2 sausages.
The party was a great hit. As we were sitting around the bonfire I received a call from Stephanie and Jeremy, who just left the party with Jullian. Allysa had been in a car wreak and was being taken to the hospital.
Apparently Jj( the boyfriend) was angry and grabbed the steering wheel while Allysa was driving and caused the car to lose control. She hit a fire hydrant and totaled the car. JJ was arrested again.
Allysa suffered neck and back strain and facial injury from airbag.
Praise God she will be ok, she did not hit another car, but her car is totaled.
Steph is picking up the pieces. Allysa is now back home and has decided to stay away from that person for at least a year. God answers prayers.
Sunday morning Tim, Lisa, Steph and Jeremy and I went out for Mother’s Day brunch! It was so good. I ate more over the weekend than I normally eat in 1 week!
Busy week ahead, need to hem a bridesmaid dress for Ellaina. 3 layers of chiffon.
I will have Jullian Tuesday and will be taking him for his 6 month check up with Allysa on Wednesday.
Hope you all have a Blessed week!
Love, prayers and Big hugs!
Michaela
The goodness of God endures forever. Psalm 52:1
Thankful for Gods protection for Allysa! Hope her eyes are wide open and determined resolve!!! Looking for tree guys to cut our silver maples and another tree and mulberry ivy tree today, rain may put a hold on that. Maybe not- here now trying to get truck in driveway , so this will be short! Love you all- yaya
Thank you all for the prayers! I took her to work this morning and we drove past the fire hydrant she was shaken up, because her parents have to pay to replace it.
At least she is home, he’s still in jail for the time being and a do not contact order placed for him.
Well he had nothing to gain. She does not have a car anymore.
Hope your tree cutting is successful!
My bank card has to be replaced again because of fraud again and my capital one card at the same time good thing I don’t need to buy anything soon. Never dull! Just pesky phone calls with a 6 month on your lap! How did we do it when we were young? Oh we didn’t have debit or credit cards, lol
