Usual week here. Hailey’s team is finished with soccer. Mackenzie and I went to the band concert at her middle school ( Jessica got to go the soccer game scheduled at the same time, since she has missed so many games this season) The concert was very good. The students performed very well.
Tuesday a big truck load of mulch was delivered mid-day.. Dean distributed with the tractor, and I raked some of the uneven parts till I got tired. We will have some more coming later.
The farmer has planted soybeans in the field surrounding us, so that will be up before we know it.
Saturday, Brian, Jess and Aitana went to a picnic for the Spanish exchange students. While they were gone Hailey and Mackenzie baked a cake to surprise Jessica for her birthday on Sunday in my kitchen. We timed just right that Hailey was able to ice it before she went to work. Hailey and Mackenzie did all the work, I just supplied ingredients and kept the work area organized and cleaned up. It turned out good and was very tasty.
Sunday we all went out for lunch after church for Jessica’s birthday and then home to have cake 😊
