Good Morning from Hot NC….like so many others are experiencing as well.

Last week was mainly dealing with the heat.  I did finish a challenging puzzle.  I’m thinking I might break out the Christmas scene puzzles with snow to work on during the heat wave!!  We are expecting actual triple digits for the highs this week.   There is mention of a cool wave coming at the end of the week with highs only in the low 80’s….might have to break out the jackets 😊.

Mackenzie starts band camp this week.  Brian and Hailey leave Thursday for their Mexico mission’s trip.

Trivia: from the current book I’m reading – ‘Napolean’s Buttons – 17 Molecules that changed history’ ( I admit that I skim through all the technical chemical descriptions/diagrams and concentrate on the history part 😊)

The first commercial use of nylon, in 1938, was for toothbrush bristles.  Then in 1939 nylon stockings were marketed for the first time.

Have a blessed week,

Love,

Gatha

Good morning from steamy Kansas! We have had our share of rain and hot muggy days! I am not complaining.  Saving money from watering the grass!  Although I do still need to mow every week. The temps are going to drop, they say , later in the week.

I have been busy as usual. Last week knee injection, a visit to Diane. Dinner at Bill ‘s sister, Dawns. Babysat Jullian. Friday afternoon Steph, Jullian and I went to lunch, then shopping for the upcoming baby showers. So many cute girl outfits. I did go a little overboard, of course. I had to purchase a baby gate to go across my stairs, because Jullian is now crawling everywhere.
Saturday I went swimming with Ellaina and Lisa, then to dinner. Sunday Allysa, Steph and Jullian came over to swim. Great time to be in the pool!
Hope you all have a blessed week! Prayers for all, love to all and Big Hugs!

Sounds like an interesting book, Gatha. Getting out the Christmas puzzles might work. Heat advisories here too. Jami, Adam, Kaytlyn and Scott stopped by on the way to their cruise and again when they got back.  We had a great time and even went to Sea World on Friday.  It was hot so we sat in the splash zone at the Sea Lion show but didn’t get a drop of water on us. It rained hard for a little bit and cooled it down for a little while and then it got steamy. We put in 10,000 steps!  We got a round of 5 crowns and BS in. Scott found several pieces for the mystery puzzle we’ve been working on. It doesn’t have a picture just the boarder. We had a great time together. Family is the best.  Always nice to have fellow Chiefs fans in the house.

Gearing up for the Community Choir Christmas Program!  Rehearsals start September 2!

Everybody get some pool time and stay cool.
Love,
PJ
