Happy National Raspberry Day !

Happy Birthday:  Charlie July 16 / Will B. July 17

Prayer:  Lacey’s healing from her fall

Congrats to Ethan on his solo flights!

Good Morning from NC.

I hope everyone had a memorable 4th of July.

Ours was Food, Fellowship, games, cards, and heat!!  On Friday, golf day, Charlotte set a record temperature of 101!!!

It was fun to have some of the younger ones this year… Kenlee, Samantha, Joanna, Reed, Porter, Peter all of which really enjoyed the pool.  We had pickleball, volleyball (both in the yard and in the pool), billiards, ping pong, darts as well.

We are so grateful that Lacey’s injuries from her nasty fall were not worse.  She went home with a concussion; some stitches and a painful knee and Porter lost his 2 lower front teeth!

Thunderstorms rolled in later Saturday, departure day for all. Some of the family had to drive through that, but everyone arrived home safely, and Alex’s flight got out before that and did not get delayed.

Have a blessed week,

Love,

Gatha

We did have a memorable 4th of July complete with a full show; we were fortunate that the farmer behind us was willing and able to rotate his cattle off for the day so we could borrow the field. All told we had probably 30 or 40 people throughout the day, a ton of kids, and overall a full day with the pool, slip and slide, bounce house, and games all over. It took me 2 days to recover.

We grew from just me and the neighbor (who, incidentally, was the one that started the “do you think we could set off some fireworks?”), to probably 80-100 people total watching. Our new neighbors from PA even said they remember seeing it from 2 years ago when they were visiting family here; apparently its a highlight.
