Good Morning from NC:

After the first of the week being so hot ( heat indexes in the triple digits), we enjoyed a cool front, and the high Saturday was 74.  I was able to open the windows in the sunroom and enjoy the lovely weather while working on my puzzle.

Brian and Hailey left Thursday for Mission trip to Mexico – due home tomorrow night.

Dean has kept busy with watching girls and boys little league games.

Lake Mary is still in the little League World Series. The Nolensville, TN team lost 2X. Lake Mary made it last year too.

Dennis’s knee surgery went well in Friday. The block has worn off so his nurse is being a little more Ratchety this time to see if we can control the swelling better than the first. Knee elevated above heart instead of recliner like the last one that took forever.  His first PT visit he was at 84 degrees so this one will be quicker I’m hoping. Thank you for the prayers. His surgeon was decked out in a light blue seersucker suit with a purple paisley tie!  He says his kids make fun of his wardrobe.

Dennis’s niece, Katie, and her big family moved down to FL last week. They made several trips to her favorite park-Disney every other month or so. Looking forward to spending time with them. She and Jonathan have 3 kids and 3 adult kids. A houseful. She’s only about 15 minutes from Disney.

I guess I’ve made another trip around the sun. I’ll be joining the next decade soon enough. Can you believe your brother and sisters are so old?

Have a blessed week. Praying for everyone and our country.

Love,

PJ

Happy birthday sis! You’re still crazy after all these years

Hello from Basehor KS!

We have had delightful weather for the past 5 days. Very grateful.

Busy here as always. Saturday Stephanie and I went to baby shower for Regan. She got a lot of nice gifts. Lindsay made some great treats. It was very nice to see Courtney, Lindsay and Cheri.

Still babysitting Jullian on Tuesdays. Between yard and house upkeep, I am busy. I had dinner with Tim, Ellaina and Lisa on Wednesday after I got my final shot in my knee, and visited Diane.

I put together some shelves for the garage, yesterday to replace the plastic shelves that had met their expectations. They were cracking and bowing. So before they came crashing down, I replaced them. I was so thankful for the cooler weather. I actually got them made, took old ones down and put all the stuff back in proper order, in one afternoon!

Today must mow.

Hope you all have a Blessed week!

Love, prayers and Big Hugs!

Michaela

Happy Thursday. Beautiful temps here, while cloudy and  gray the temps feel great and the plants are enjoying a breather from the sun and heat.

I went to an exhibit on Saturday at Cheekwood the Fleurs de Villes, it was famous paintings of ladies turned into a floral design with real flowers, seeds etc. it was the Rose Bowl up close. It was so amazing. Here is a link https://cheekwood.org/calendar-events/fleurs-de-villes-artiste/

Lisa send us a pic of your art going into the festival, that is exciting. Have you played around the world ping pong with Porter? Remember when we played that in Humboldt on the driveway?

My office team have moved into the new office, I won’t move for a while, too many logistics so I am shuffling papers back and forth for now. School started yesterday and the kids were at the bus stop with sweaters on, it felt like fall. Maggie and I cheered on the parents as they stood in their PJs drinking coffee. A fun scene.

Looking forward to summer returning!!!

Have a blessed week.

Becky, those pictures were breathtaking. Can’t imagine what it was like in person. Lisa, congratulations!   So proud to be your sister. Mom is so happy too!

Better go change the ice pak!  Praying for Nick’s procedure.

Love,
PJ
