Good morning from NC.

Enjoying some cooler temps the beginning of this week.  Since we have had a break in the rain, the farmers have been able to harvest their corn.  The deer in our woods have started dinning on the soybeans planted around us so we must keep an eye out for them crossing our driveway.

We enjoyed catching some sports this week.  Watched Mackenzie and marching band.  Saturday, we hung out with Mark, Rachel, and the boys. Went to a soccer game, flag football game and played 5 crowns.

Watched the Chiefs lose….really hope we make some improvements quickly.

Have a blessed week.

Love,

Gatha

Good morning from Basehor Kansas. Our weather was cooler last week, gave us a break, but this week it’s warming back up again. It’s fall for sure.

Normal stuff here. I only had Jullian 1 day last week. Spent Friday afternoon with Stephanie, went to Tims’s Friday night to watch the game and eat pizza. The Chiefs will need to study a lot of game film!
Last week I was working in my yard changing summer flowers for mums when a guy named Gary stopped to compliment me on my yard and for being the hardest working woman in the neighborhood. He asked me where I grew up, I told him, he grew up in Mission. I told him my father had a station at 47th and Mission rd, he said, “the Schleicher’s” I about fell over. Yes I said, long story short, his father owned Mission Auto Parts! Where dad and Harold got their parts. He said that those brothers used to give him so much grief, he was in high school and worked at his dad’s shop. He  is 78 years old. Small world. He and his wife live on the street behind me. He drives by my house on his golf cart every day with his little dog to get their mail. His name is Gary. He also worked for uncle Bill Joe when he was building houses. He is a builder also.
I am busy trying to get things ready for the baby showers. Steph, Allysa, Jullian and I will drive down Thursday to San Antonio. Come back on Monday.  It’s 98 degrees down there! So summer clothes will be in order!

Hope you all have a Blessed week! love, prayers and big hugs!

Cool story Kala!  Small world.  Beautiful fall ish weather here, warm days but cool nights, some have been in the 40’s.  Need to be putting gardens to bed for the winter.  Took lambs to market, got hay for winter put in barn just before the rain came Saturday.  Checked bees, swarm hive still building out brood box, will need to feed this winter, gave original hive their frames back I had spun out this week, checked to make sure they had enough full frames to get through winter.  Waiting all day for chimney folks to come back.  They have to fix the cover plate, and the steel flue is crooked  on top of the chimney.  All not noticeable until daylight, but hopefully they will get it fixed, and soon.  Praying for healing, health, and peace everywhere needed.  Love you Yaya

We had the best parents ever. That’s a great story, Kala. So close to dad’s going home anniversary! Sure do miss them.

Love you all,
PJ
