Good Morning from NC.

I hope everyone has survived all the cold weather and those who had snow.   The snowy icy weather missed us, we were just far enough south.  But since we were on the bubble for the bad weather the girls were home 2 days for the weather that wasn’t too bad.

We are supposed to have warmer temperatures this week which is nice since Hailey’s school soccer starts this week.

I found this interesting fact of how few employees it took when Silver Dollar City started.  I do remember going there when it first opened and how small it was at that time.

We’re in our Fall season here in Deland, FL. The live oak trees are getting new leaves and dropping their old leaves. The ground is covered in leaves and the yellow pollen requires daily car washing and daily allergy pills, eye drops and nose spray to stay ahead of the histamines. 

 

Rainy today and we’re in the high 60’s and low 70’s for a few days. We had a great beach day while Maddie and girls were here. Maddie got her annual painful sunburn. She and Luis are looking forward to closing on their new home the end of March.  

 

Justin got out of the hospital a week ago over the weekend. They’ve been pulling up carpet and putting down flooring.  Getting Baby Baxter’s room ready. Due date is April 15th. Can’t wait to see everyone in Gallatin for the baby shower. 

 

Zeke and Thomas started their tee ball season. I got to hold Isaiah during the game and Grandpa got to walk him around and put him to sleep.  The tee ball games are always very funny.

Hello from Basehor KS. At last out snow will melt today! High 59 degrees! 

Still chilly but warm considering the minus temperatures we been having! 

I have been hibernating. Gained 5 pounds! Must be the clothes! 

I have been tackling my to do list. Actually got a lot done. Took taxes in to be processed. Changed pre arrangements for funeral home from Florida to Kansas. Cleaned craft room, somewhat. Just got more ideas to do! 

Saturday Ellaina came over and we watched Wicked together! It was amazing! I had been listening to the soundtrack so that made it easy to follow. The settings were amazing and I really enjoyed it. 

Sunday Steph came over and we had a hot tub / mother daughter day. We sat and tried to solve all the problems of the world! Great one on one time! 

Then we went out to put cover back on hot tub, my knee went out as I was stepping down on the back stairs, I twisted my left knee and my lower back! I am sure it’s just a sprain and strain! Wearing knee brace today. Not much sleep last night could not get comfortable. This too shall pass. 

In the meantime I am ready for Spring! Taking down the valentines decor and getting ready for Spring decor! Might take me a while. New house new season. 

So looking forward to going to Emily’s baby shower next month.
