Good morning from NC
May is that busy school month for all those with kiddos. Hailey is clicking away at those last High School events. Last week was senior night at soccer. Jessica’s parents came for the game and then we celebrated Jessic’s dad’s birthday after the game. We learned an interesting fact….Zoe said they sing the Happy Birthday song in English and not German so no German solo from her that night.
I planted some more flowers this week and now the job of keeping them watered and alive. 😊 We got rain Saturday so that was helpful.
Watched the Kentucky Derby, Golf and worked on my puzzle over the weekend.
Have a blessed week,
Love,
Gatha
We’ve had a crazy week here! Last Sunday we discovered that our expansion tank on our hot water heater busted so we had water running all night long into our finished basement. Initially, we were upset that Scott’s games were canceled that morning, now we are thankful that they were, because otherwise no one would have gone in the basement probably that entire day. So the one room in the house that I felt like was somewhat organized is now completely trashed. We had a plumber come out immediately and fix the part, and a water mitigation team was out within a few hours as well. Adam and I started sucking water up with the shop vac and the carpet cleaner And our friends brought their carpet cleaner as well to help. We went through a months worth of water in a night. Scott is still very mad because he hasn’t been in the basement to play his PlayStation.
This Saturday morning, we thought we didn’t have anything going on, Adam canceled softball practice for Kaytlyn because we had a lot of rain the night before and we got an emergency call from the Ranch owner-everyone forgot about Ferrier day! So we had to quickly get ready and head up to take care of that, which, after that, then we head to Adam’s parents to take care of our other two horses. We were already planning to go to Adam’s parents to build a raised bed for asparagus (we think that it will be much better managed in a raised bed and weeds will be easier to manage as well), we also prepped the garden to plant our pumpkins and watermelon, Scott used the tiller quite a bit, and the sweet corn got put in the ground. The bees are looking good our split hive is still doing well. Might not get honey out of that hive this year. We are almost done with everything over there, quit in time to watch the Derby. Yesterday I went to Home Depot to get some things to finish our raised bed that we have here at the house and they had all my perennials that I like to plant, so I got all of that and got everything in planters yesterday. Got some sun too!!
Work has been extremely busy, we have five listings coming this month! I am taking a week off in order to get the house re-organized, and have a dumpster arriving later this week! That is my Mother’s Day present to myself lol! Each room and closets are all getting organized!
Busy week ahead! Tomorrow we have games back to back with Kay and Scott! Thankfully, the weather this week looks really nice!
Love y’all!

Good morning from Sunny Bashor KS!
The sun is shining today! Yeah supposed to be 72 today!
Busy week as always here. Getting in a routine. Babysit on Tuesday. Mow the yard on Wednesday. Clean house laundry, ect Thursday and Fridays.
Went to lunch with Lisa last Friday then shopping. Put her summer decor out and put Spring/ Easter away.
Saturday a good friend of mine called we talked for 3 hours getting caught up. Then I went to Tim and Lisa’s to watch the derby. We had smash burgers for dinner then had a bonfire. Lisa’s daughter Alexis and boyfriend came over.
Sunday a good friend from Florida passed a way. Was on the phone most of the day with friends and acquaintances from Florida. I did get to iron, do paperwork and a few other things done while I was on the phone.
Today is plant flowers day. But have to go purchase them.
I seem to get behind everyday with an update phone call from Stephanie. Allysa moved back out to her “boyfriend”’s mothers home. JJ was let out of the “ward” he was in last week! We hoped he’d would be gone longer… still praying for her to open her eyes!
Never dull here!
Hope you all have a Blessed Week!
Love, Prayers and Big Hugs!
