Good Morning from NC:

Last week was extremely hot week with heat index in the 100’s, working outside was done with caution.  The week was spent getting ready for Hailey’s graduation party on Saturday.  Fortunately, it wasn’t as hot Saturday so people could play the outdoor activities- pickleball , cornhole , ping pong.  Everyone had a good time.  Ashley and Trevor made the trip to help celebrate which was very sweet of them.

Jessica starts her new job today- insurance compliance specialist- ( I think I have that right)  It’s still with Novant Physical Therapy – but she gets to work from home – so she won’t have to make that long drive to work and back each day.

Happy Independence Day to everyone!
🇺🇸
It was a hot week in Kansas as well. Doing yard work was pleasant. I am enjoying the heat a little at a time. I had to water my lawn a lot, since there is new sod where the water company had to tap into the main in my yard for the house across the street.
I had to replace a sprinkler head that is near the curb in that area. That was fun! Not really since the ground is all clay and was saturated when I was digging the old head out. You know every project usually needs 2 trips to the hardware store! Well this was one. The only place to get sprinkler heads is in Shawnee. None of the small hardware stores near me carry them. I am still working on getting my sprinkler system set up to water automatically.
I can’t figure it out. But will u tube it when I have some free time.
Other than working in the yard, I am still babysitting Jullian on Tuesdays. Went to lunch on Thursday with a friend. Went to dinner at Tim and Lisa’s on Friday and Saturday evening. He smoked pork butts on Saturday and I helped him shred them with a drill. I put a paper plate on the top of the shredder and held it while he shredded. It sure kept the pork from splattering.
We had a torrential rain storm Sunday. It was nice. It rained several times Sunday. Saved me from watering mine and the neighbors gardens, while they are out of town. It has cooled us off for a couple of days.
Travel mercies to all who are traveling this week for Independence Day.
Hope you all have a Blessed week,
Love prayers and Big Hugs.
Michaela
I will be glad, and rejoice in your love.
