Good Morning from NC.

We had a great weekend attending Charlie’s surprise 80th birthday party on July 4.  It was fun to see many faces from the past and to help celebrate Charlie.  Very appreciative of all who worked hard to pull it off.  The trip to and back were a little longer than usual, due to the interstate at the border of NC and TN down to 2 lanes while they are rebuilding due to the damage from Hurricane Helene.  Thankful for everyone that got home safely.

Have a Blessed Week,

Love,

Gatha

wonderful pictures of the surprise Birthday for Charlie!!! So glad we had the opportunity to visit with Becky and Charlie a month ago! And so glad so many were able to help him celebrate over the weekend!!!!!

Gatha – Bailey is quite the dancer to place as she did in solo and duet performances!!!  That’s truly remarkable! Congratulations, Bailey!

Phil reported this morning that Aberdeen got 10″ of rain from the tropical storm. Their golf course is closed today with lots of standing water. A nearby golf course had 3 dam failures/compromises.

As of this morning, the reports were all good concerning the water rescues. A lot of roads washed out.

I cannot begin to comprehend the loss of life, loss of so many children, and the damage done in Texas. All of Uncle Tim’s family is okay with no (reported) loss of property. The river circles Boerne but they are on high ground. So many prayers go out to all who have lost a loved one.

Good morning everyone!

What a great weekend spent with everyone that could make it to Charlie’s 80 th year celebration! Way to go Becky another great 4 th of July Weekend! Thank you for your hospitality!
We were so blessed that this was a physical injury free weekend. Although volleyball was being played. I sat that one out! Can’t say that for poppy long stockings! Aka Cheri!
The airport going home at 6:am was a mad house! Never saw so many people in one place before! This is why you need to be there 2 hours early! All was good. I hobbled home about 10:00 am, greeted by my dog buddy from across the street. My welcoming committee Trooper.
I rested the rest of the day!
Hope you all have a Blessed week. Prayers for the tragic loss of lives in Texas. Love, prayers and Big Hugs!

Congratulations Phil!  What are Ethan’s plans now he is graduated?  Air Force Academy?

Back to setting traps caught a robber opossum last night- they also kill chickens, and was up to no good in the coop.  Down 1 raccoon, 1 opossum.  But don’t think those were the only responsible critters for 9 ducks and 3 chickens.  Hoping to get more ducks soon.  Today I got most of the front porch railing and posts repainted.  Hot, and sunny, dried really fast.  Other than critter control, gardening should take up the rest of the week.  Either the brazen bunnies, or shameless groundhogs got my first ripe tomatoes.  Hopefully I have them fenced off from further assault!  Stay cool, love Yaya.
