Good morning from sunny NC.

We are enjoying the sunny days and looks like this week will be moderate temperatures and low humidity…that will be exciting.  Today is Mackenzie 1st day of school. Riley and Bailey started earlier in August.

We watched a lot of the little league baseball games during the week and the world series game on Sunday.  Dean mowed damp grass again last week.  Can’t believe how green our grass is for August.

I started decorating for fall.

For inquiring minds:

Holiday countdown:

Halloween 68 days

Thanksgiving 95 days

Christmas Day 123 days

New Year’s Day 130 days

Plan accordingly 😊

Have a blessed week,

Love,

Gatha

Hello from Basehor KS!

We have very mild temperatures. Makes me want to put out fall decor. I. Have started this morning, but called to babysitting duty.

Busy week last week. Diane is on Hospice, so I went over several days to sit with her. Praying the Lord takes her in his time.

Last week I went to court to see what Allysa’s x-boyfriend was going to be charged. Guilty in all accounts, 2 dropped, sentence in  8 weeks. What a long drawn out deal.

Saturday was Alexis birthday, Lisa’s Daughter. Tim went and got the boat, and we spent the day at Wyandotte lake. It was in the 80’s. The water was warm.

We spent the evening at Tims for dinner. Then bon fire.

Sunday I finished making the shelves and blocks and other things babies. I made 3 blankets for CIerra. Glad that that is finished.

I am watching Jullian today and tomorrow and visiting Diane, this will be a busy week. I am supossed to go to the lake with Tim and Lisa on Friday for Labor Day Weekend. Will play that one by ear. I am glad the grass stopped growing so I do not have to mow every week. However this is the week it needs to be done. Never dull here.

Hope You all have a Blessed week, Safe travels over Labor Day.

Love, Prayers and Big Hugs.

Michaela

The Lord be with you. Ruth 2:4

When you put it that way Christmas is right around the corner. A lot thunderstorms down here. Checked out the waves with Madeline and they were monstrous. A lot of surfers out there with the sharks!

Madeline, Luis, Joanna and Samantha came down for a quick trip to pick up their ATV’s.  Got here Saturday AM and left early Sunday.  It is always great to get together.

Dennis’s knee is doing great, he thinks better than the last. About time you start golfing again!  We watched some LL World Series, golf and of course the Chiefs and Broncos. Dennis is coordinating a family fantasy league, still time to get in if you’re interested. It’s really very simple. You can either do all kinds of research or just coast and change the players that are on a bye. The app pretty much does it all for you. Our coasters usually win.

Getting ready for choir rehearsals so a lot of time spent copying music.  We have 12 concerts scheduled so far. The Stetson University choir starts tonight and we’re singing Jubilate Deo by Dan Forrest. He was born in 1978 and got his doctorate from KU!  Should be challenging. Our concert is always the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
