Okey doke; we’ve got another addition to the connections. Guess I should introduce the Schleicher Bot. Looks remarkably similar to me. Just smarter, and more annoying, probably. Anyway, it’ll happily post reminders and post notifications via several automations, just to make sure we’re all on the same page and don’t forget anybody.
Anywho…we’ve already mentioned that you can get automated push notifications through Tooot, and the bot has been cheerfully wishing happy birthday to our April and May birthdays. Since e-mail is still a mainstream method of communication, though, one more method of notification has been added in. If you’re on the family e-mail list already, you’ll start getting birthday and anniversary reminders through email soon. If you’re not on the list already, and want to join these reminders, email Zack to get on the list.
For right now, this only includes birthdays and anniversaries; there is also a way to get post updates for the family site. While adding family to a list is probably fine, explicit permissions are generally required to add someone to an automated email list; I usually try not to break those rules (don’t really want my domain added to a blacklist). To get added to automated post notifications (for Boar reports, family updates, etc.), you’ll have to request addition to that list.
