Boston Brown Bread

- 3 c all bran cereal
- 1½ c raisins
- 3 c buttermilk
- 3 tbsp molasses
- 1½ c sugar
- 3 c flour
- 1½ tsp baking soda
Preheat oven to 250 °F
In a large bowl combine 3 c buttermilk, 3 c all bran cereal, and 1½ c raisins. Let soak for a few minutes to soften.
Combine 3 tbsp molasses, 1½ c sugar, 3 c flour, and 1½ tsp baking soda with buttermilk mixture and mix well.
Fill 16oz greased cans about half full with the bread mixture (will usually make about 7 cans).
Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
