Dennis' Broccoli Salad

Course Salad

Ingredients
  

Dressing

  • 1 c olive oil
  • ½ c sugar
  • ¼ c balsamic vinegar
  • 1 beef Ramen flavoring packet

Salad

  • 4 heads broccoli
  • 1 package beef Ramen noodles
  • 1 package sunflower kernels
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

Optional

  • 1 package slivered almonds

Instructions
 

Dressing

  1. Mix all dressing ingredients and refrigerate overnight.
    1 c olive oil, ½ c sugar, ¼ c balsamic vinegar, 1 beef Ramen flavoring packet

Salad

  1. Chop 4 heads broccoli into bite-sized pieces and put in a large bowl.

  2. Take 1 package beef Ramen noodles and break up the noodles into small pieces.

  3. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet and add 2 cloves garlic and broken Ramen noodles and heat until browned. Add 1 package sunflower kernels, and optionally 1 package slivered almonds last to prevent overcooking.

  4. Transfer to the bowl of cut broccoli. Pour the dressing over and mix.

Notes

A sure hit at all church potlucks.
