Poppy Seed Cake
Ingredients
- 3 c flour
- 1½ tsp salt
- 2⅓ c sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1⅛ c cooking oil
- 1½ c milk
- 1½ tsp vanilla
- 1½ tsp almond extract
- 1½ tsp butter flavored extract
- 1½ tbsp poppy seed
Glaze
- ¼ c orange juice
- ¾ c sugar
- 1½ tsp vanilla
- 1½ tsp almond extract
- 1½ tsp butter flavored extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 °F
- Cream 2⅓ c sugar and 1⅛ c cooking oil. Add all other ingredients and pour into greased tube pan or 2 loaf pans.
- Bake for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes and apply glaze.
- While cake is baking, heat glaze ingredients over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Apply glace to top and sides of cake with a brush.,
