Karly's Fruit Pizza

Ingredients
  

Crust

  • ¼ c butter
  • ¼ c shortening
  • tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1⅓ c flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ c sugar
  • 1 egg

Topping

  • ½ c powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ c whipping cream (whipped)
  • 15 oz pineapple chunks (drained (reserve juice))
  • assorted fresh and/or canned fruits
  • 1 tbsp corn starch

Instructions
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F
  2. Cream ¼ c butter, ¼ c shortening, and ¼ c sugar, then add ⅛ tsp salt, 1 tsp cream of tartar, 1⅓ c flour, ½ tsp baking soda, and 1 egg. Press into pizza pan.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Topping

  1. Mix 8 oz cream cheese and ½ c powdered sugar then add ¼ c whipping cream. Spread on cooled crust.
  2. Cook reserved pineapple juice with 1 tbsp corn starch to make glaze. Arrange 15 oz pineapple chunks and assorted fresh and/or canned fruits over cream cheese mixture.
  3. Pour slightly cooled glaze over fruit.
  4. Chill.
