Ingredients

bananas
(sliced)

milk
¼-1
c
sugar
3
eggs
(separated)
vanilla flavoring
vanilla wafers
1
tsp
flour
cream of tartar
(optional)
Instructions
Pour
1 tsp flour
and sugar in a saucepan. Mix thoroughly.
Gradually add
2 c milk
.
Beat
3 eggs
(yolks only) and gradually mix into saucepan with
vanilla flavoring
.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently (you might want to use a double boiler) until it thickens. Set aside to cool.
Add
vanilla wafers
and
3 bananas
on top.
Beat
3 eggs
(whites only) to stiffen.
Add ¼ c sugar (you may want to add cream of tartar). Spread on pudding.
Put in oven just to brown the top of the meringue.
